The Farm

Where do our herbs come from?

At least 75% of our herbs used in our formulations and 95% of our herbs used in our distillates (e.g., hydrosols) are grown by Jaynaya on a 3/4 acre block located in the Central Highlands of Victoria, Australia. Jaynaya began designing and implementing this garden in December 2016 which, in the early stages, was 2 years of watching the landscape and soil building, using regenerative principles and minimal external inputs.

Over that time the design has adapted and expanded over the years with a growing community of over 90 species of edible and medicinal plants. Most of our herbs are grown from seed with organic or equivalent USDA certifications. Any externally sourced plants or imported harvested herbs come from certified organic (CO) farms and we try to support small businesses as much as possible.

Although we do not currently have organic certification ourselves at this time, no artificial fertilisers or pest resistance products are implemented to ensure our products are of highest quality and safe to use. We garden following Australian Certified Organic (ACO) guidelines alongside regenerative and holistic farming practices.
