ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A hydrosol, also known as hydrolat(e) or floral water, is considered the aqueous distillate of plants produced on distillation. The steam from the distillation separates the volatile oil from the plant material and when cooling & condensing, it becomes the hydrosol being a mixture of both volatile & non-volatile components. The hydrosol generally contains small amounts of volatile oil (even after it is separated from the waters), as well as water-soluble compounds from the plant, and can be used for a variety of purposes such as skincare, aromatherapy, and as a natural room freshener & cleanser.
